Cookbook I love...
I was going through some cute preppy blogs and saw some pretty neat things like fave books and stores to visit. It got me thinking of one of my favorite cookbooks. I have a whole collection of cookbooks. I can not even fit them all in the cabinet above the stove so i have a bunch in a bookcase in my bedroom. but, one of my favorties to read is called The W.A.S.P. cookbook. It is by Alexandra Wentworth. I am not a Protestant, I am a Baptist but I think this is a very entertaining book to read and it has a lot of really great recipes in it. I love to look through my vcookbooks and some are very interesting but this one is so fun to actually read. I am not sure if it is in preint anymore or not but I am sure you can go to Amazon.com and find it used. It has a dark blue velvet cover with gold lettering. Very entertaining. :)
Up late thinking about Lilly...
I was up and I can not seem to sleep. I think it is due to lack of sleep from the overnighter we organized with the teenagers at our church friday through Saturday. It was fun and we saw one girl get saved and that was sooo cool. But it is taking me a lot of time to recover from staying up all night. I am 20.5 weeks along in this pregnancy and I feel pretty good but the lack of sleep really got to me. I have been finding it hard to sleep at all now. eek. :)
Anyway, I was thinking about going to the Lilly store in Boca tomorrow. They have the cutest little store in such a quaint area. I love Boca as it reminds me of a New England town with that Fl flair. I have seen celebrities there a couple times and always randomly. It is kinda neat. :)
I am now browsing the site for lilly. I saw the best little pink sweater for my little girl. It has her fave animal on it. I showed it to her and she was thrilled about it. I think she would look pefect in it.
Ok, I am going to finish browsing everything Lilly and then off to bed to try and get some beauty sleep.
Ciao

Martha Stewart and Lily Pulitzer!
Wow! what a fabulous show!! Loved it!! I loved how the audience was dressed and I loved the sketches and the fashion show. Just great. I only wish I could afford a lot of Lily and if only it came in maternity. (I am 20 weeks now!)
I talked to my friend Gina on Wed. She is the friend of mine who modeled for Lily when she was in her 20's. She is so. lucky that she gets free Lily clothes every year. How fun is that?!
I am trying to prepare myself for the teem lock-in tonight. I am not sure I want to do this being pregnant and all but my husband needs help with it and I don't think Beth would appreciate it if I skipped out on her. :) It will be fun but very exaugsting. Thing is... we do not have anything planned out for the girls to do at the lock-in. I am a little worried about that. I need to call Beth this afternoon to see if we at least have a "plan" printed out for every minute we will be there tonight thru tomorrow.
Well, have to see if maybe I can take a little time with my kids and go to the beach and relax before all the chaos happens. :)
Ciao for now. :)

mini "vacation"
Last Friday I went with a friend to see Anita Renfrow live. She is hysterical! Then, Saturday we all went to Titusville, Fl to see the Space Shuttle launch. I will have a link in here soon for the pictures. they are kinda cool! We sat on a dock about 12 miles from the shuttle itself. We had a clear view of it and I have a telephoto lens so I was able ot get some good shots.
.......
We are going on a mini "vacation" today. It will be 4 days only. I am putting "" around vacation because we are staying in a condo my chiropracter owns so we have to pack every essencial we will need for 4 days. That is a lot of packing for only 4 days. Plus, Sr. monkey will be woring for 3 of the 4 days. I have to pack twice the amount of clothing for him and I will be alone with the kids in this condo for 3 of the 4 days. None of the comforts of home around me.
I guess it will be nice. I just hate leaving home. I like being in my own house and in my own bed at night.
Our friends Matt and Kelly will be there too. matt will be working with Sr. monkey. kelly and I will hang out at the pool, I guess. The kids will get restless, I know. Maybe the town of Seabring Fl will have some interesting places to visit during the day while the guys are working.
ok, time to sit and ponder on what else I might need on this mini "vacation" :)

Been a long year
I can not beleive how long this year has been. We built a house and it was finished in December of 2006. We have been in it a year now. the housing market got so bad that sr. monkey is out trying to get bids on some big projects that we hop to get right now. he has no work this month. We hired a plumber for jobs of sr. monkey's that ended up costing us ... ready... $50,000 out of our own pocket (credit card!!) to fix all of his mistakes. We can't pay our Christian school bill and we need a miracle to pay our bills by the end of the month.
Whooo! That is a lot. not to mention that in June last year our whole church turned around for the worst. 3 of our Pastors left. sr. monkey became the Youth Director for the teens. (that was not so bad) We got the job also of picking up a group of teens every week 2 times a week for church. Which means we have to leave pretty early for church now a days. ( We only live 15 minutes away) Our School administrator was asked to leave and now we are losing a Bible teacher and the school secretery. (she is having a baby and her husband is the Bible and Gym teacher) It is bad enough we don't have any highschool teachers except one volunteer teacher who is a friend of ours. :)
We did get a new School Administrator just this week. That is really good news. I like her a lot and she will do good things with the school.
We may have to homeschool both the kids next year. The kids seem excited about it. mommy is a little apprehensive but I know we will get through it.
One of my latest (and former passions) is freezer cooking. You cook for a day and eat for a month. It is great! I am trying to see if we can get a seminar at our church for the community and our church ladies about this. I love this whole freezer thing as it saves so much money buying in bulk and only shopping one time for all my meals a month. Great! I have to admit I usually cook for 2 weeks at a time because I have not gotten to the place of 1 month yet but I will. It is cool when there is always food in the freezer and if you are rushed, that is ok, there is a meal in the freezer that just needs heating. Company is over and all you have to do is go into the freezer and grab something good. I have a few books on this that I love. I also think it is a perfect gift for a new mom or someone sick. Make a few meals to bring over, freeze them and when you get to the person's house ask them what meal they would like that night and leave that out and put the rest in thier freezer for them to heat up another time.
Now I am rambling and I have to go pick up the kids. Write more later. :)
