Just relax...

Today was a productive but ineventful day in our home. We were going to take a trip to the beach but decided not to as it is Spring Break and the beaches are packed like sardines right now. I really hate when people smoke around us at the beach and you just can't avoid it during Spring Break. So, we went out to find my DD a bathing suit to fit her as she has grown out of her old ones. We saw some really nice ones for about $50 a piece but that was way too much knowing she would grow out of them in a few months anyway. Then we found other around $20 but they were so low cut or missing too much fabric for an 8 year old to be wearing so we decided to forego those. I think we checked 5-6 stores before we finally found the perfect suit. It is cute and modest and came with a pair of shorts. My husband was very patient with the whole shopping experience and dressing room after dressing room. (He hates shopping)
We got home from shopping for the bathing suit and my DD and I decided that we were having a sweet tooth attack so we looked through a favorite church cookbook of ours and found a no-bake cookies recipe that looked good. We had all the ingredients and so we make some yummy cookies.
Now, we are looking at blogs and relaxing on this lazy Saturday afternoon.

I also plan on a give away of some of my Preppy Place note cards. I will post details soon and will list this as soon as I have photos to show. :) I took a photo with and without the flash. I think the flash distorts the color a bit.

Closet overhall!

I spent 4 hours today overhauling my closet. It is a walk-in but you could not even step into it! We had crate and boxes all over. My kids got into it one day trying to help me get organized and all they did was scatter everything from the crates and boxes to the floor.

I did not realize how much junk I had that really needed to be thrown ut. I packed up a large crate full of clothes for Goodwill and that will be carted off tomorrow. The closet looks just fab and the floor is completely cleared! It is wonderful! My husband walked into it a few times after I was done. I think he was in disbelief! :)

Next task is moving the den to anoter part of the house so I can clean up and decorate for the new baby!!! I am on a roll!!!

Here are the pics of Sr. monkey volunteering for the Habitat for Humanity Home Building Blitz this week. They want to build 9 houses in 6 days! That is amazing!Sr. monkey worked real hard came home sunburned from the day. :)

K is doing a Habitat for Humanity house today..

K is volunteering for Habitat for Humanity today. I can't wait until he calls me back to give me the address of where he is. I want to take some pictures. I think it is so neat he is doing this. I told him I would help out too if I did not have the kids at home home schooling and if I was not nearly 22 weeks along. :)

Anyway, more to come on this when I figure out exactly where K is.

Ciao!
